Why and how to get a cycling coach?
When the excitement of gravel cycling really gets going, different goals often come to mind. Improving fitness, longer rides, that long hard climb on a trip south, a faster average speed at a summer cycling event and maybe even a race. All of these take time and effort to achieve, but with the right advice you'll enjoy the journey more. Training can be a few months' project, for example, in preparation for the peak of the summer. But the best results are achieved through long-term collaboration.
Gravelo Coaching is for alllevels of gravel and road cyclists. Your first gravel bike may still be in the shop waiting for its driver, or you may already be preparing for the summer gravel races. And everything in between.
Gravelo Coaching's strengths are its expertise in endurance coaching and the personal contact between the coach and the coachees. In addition to the coaching meetings, we go for a ride together at least once a summer.
01
The coaching starts with a face-to-face or Teams meeting where we get to know each other and map out your starting situation. Your fitness level, availability of training time, your health status as it affects your cycling and your personal goals will be carefully discussed before the training plan is constructed.
02
You will then receive your first training plan and can start your goal-oriented training. Your training plans are sent via Trainingpeaks platform, which also forms your own training diary. From there, your coach will follow your workouts and you can comment on past and future workouts. From Trainingpeaks, the day's training is automatically transferred to your bike computer or e.g. to Zwift to be done inside.
03
Specific needs and questions often arise during the training process. Driving position adjustment, equipment and gear, nutrition, weight management, possible health problems, etc. Gravelo Coching's partners can help with these.
